`I Wanna Hold Your Hand`

I chose this orangutan as my subject for a pastel painting mainly because of the strength of emotion I felt as soon as I saw the photo reference. They do say that every picture tells a story...this one speaks volumes to me ! Worked in hard/soft pastel. Delighted to receive the Second Prize Award at Porthcawl Art Society Winter Exhibition 2018 for this piece.
